We didn’t expect to go here when in Biarritz as we were only in Biarritz for such a short time. But with a quick Google we noticed the high rating - WORTH IT.
The staff were friendly and very funny! You were made to feel like family and they were also insightful.
They had 2 huge paella pans on the go outside and so many people were ordering it. They were receiving huge servings and there were plenty of compliments around.
We decided to try something we’ve not had before - razor clams, whelks and hake (which I believe is a local fish?).
Loved the razor clams! The sauce was perfect and we were fighting over who got to mop up the last bit with the bread.
Whelks were definitely tasty.
The hake and mashed potato was the star of the show. Delicate and juicy. We were also impressed by the quality of the vegetables.- Service

Lovely and quick service, as we are only two of us so we don’t have to take a long time to get the table and food. The food was great, fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is just right… close to the sea and more importantly its area of the fishermen

In 2019, I was suffering from severe pregnancy sickness. I came to Biarritz to cure myself with my husband. I remember this was the first food that I could eat without medicines.
Now in 2025, I came with my two sons and my parents from Korea to show what kind of healing city and food I had. We were enjoying and loving all foods. When I come back in the future, I will definitely come back here again.
This restaurant, definitely recommend to you those who love sea foods and great ambiance.

Restaurant Le Corsaire in Biarritz is amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh seafood and great local flavors. The service was friendly and attentive, and the oceanfront setting made the experience even more special. Highly recommend for a memorable meal.

Excellent, excellent sea food restaurant in a lovely setting. Ate twice at Le Corsaire this week. Moules were wonderful especially with their homemade mayonnaise for the frites. But the slow cooked Paella was the masterpiece for me. Would go back for the warm welcome, great service and excellent food. Highly recommend.

Service was great, and while the venue is basic, it is a lovely place to eat.

Beautifully cooked and tender calamari for a starter, very good portion size. Fabulous seafood paella just a little dry but very tasty. Wow what a view! Right in the port with fabulous views. Very engaging and great staff.

If you fancy fresh fish, no need for the huge queue at the nearby Casa Juan Pedro, just go to Le Corsaire and enjoy a chill dinner (probably with even slightly better view!)!- Service

We’ve eaten here two times months apart and always been great. Seen some whiney reviews which I really don’t understand. Servers have been here a long time and are very friendly, atmosphere is great, food is very good, the price is reasonable. Highly recommended. Fresh fish and basque wine.

Great Fish Restaurant right beside the sea at an old fishing Harbour, near the area shown in the photos. Very popular area with 3 restaurants in a row. Good service at this restaurant and well prepared food and friendly staff.
We have been coming here for the last 9 years and love it. Staff are friendly, eccentric, relaxed, funny… food is delicious and there is something for everyone! On the fishing port it is the best spot, nestled right up against the water (not set back like a couple of others) with great views

Had a very nice dinner here. We had oysters as starters, moules frites and a dorade fish fillet. All tasted well, my fish was great. Service was very quick and friendly staff, very good prices as well. Would have taken the 25€ 3 course menu but the starter was not my taste.

The Menu du jour is very good price-quality. The staff was also very friendly. The restaurant locates right at the Old Habor, thus gives a nice view and atmosphere.

Amazing... If you like seafood this is the place. Freshly caught that day. Honestly the tastiest fish and looking over the port. Fantastic view, Amazing food.
